FAQ
Q. Why do some recipes not include specific measurements?
A. I've been cooking for a long time. I know what amounts in general so I'm a little lazy on always including them. When I revisit a recipe I very often change things when I make it again. A lot of the recipes are a general guideline for the cook to change to their liking. I realize this probably makes it harder for new cooks!
Q. Are you against people eating meat?
A. No. Humans have domesticated animals and one of the reasons is for a food source. I do believe though farm animals (cows, pigs, chickens, etc.) should be treated humanely, For me, I just don't crave meat.
Q. Why no food photos?
A. It takes a lot of effort to get food photography right. I just don't have the time right now. Maybe when I'm retired I'll have time!
Q. You don't seem to add salt to recipes, why?
A. I try to keep my sodium on the low side. Most recipes already have ingredients with salt in them, e.g., cheese, bread, mayo, mustard, capers, pickles, soy sauce, sriracha, salsa and so on.
